S.H.O.P. (Self Help Opportunity for Parents)
This program is designed for parents with children over 2 years of age.
S.H.O.P. has two main components:
The parenting component provides training and support, focusing on building healthy parent/child relationships by learning how to effectively communicate and discipline their children.

Foodsafe is a food safety course targeted for food handlers including child care providers and volunteers. It explains how food bourne illness is caused and most importantly, how food bourne illness can be prevented. St. John Ambulance - Emergency First Aid - Child Care
This 8 hour National Cirtification course is approved for Child Care and Day Care Workers. The content of this course is oriented to performing First Aid on newborn infants to children eight years of age. There is approximately 3 hours homework to complete prior to this course. There is an ongoing skills, evaluation and a multiple choice test at the end of the course. Upon sucessful completion, candidates will be issued a National St. John Ambulance Emergency First Aid-Child Care Certificate valid for 3 years.
